Following the advice from this Judging by Ubiquiti’s documentation and comments on getting the UCI up and running, it doesn’t sound like much of that is under their control. If the device has been certified to work on a network but that network doesn’t recognize it for some reason or the system hasn’t updated to show it as a certified device, who does the blame fall on?. Then the UniFi APs showed up and again, nothing like that really existed at those prices before. Specifically, I was experiencing high TX retry rates, which was quite frustrating. After some research, I found a helpful guide on Evan McCann's blog about advanced Wi-Fi settings for Unifi devices. The unifi switches arent really anything special, but it's nice to have everything centralized. I am not saying they are not good but there are cheaper alternatives. Need to understand where the value on going with an ecosystem is, considering that my home network is rather small (router + 3ap) Thanks Mar 8, 2023 · Ubiquiti is for people that have a lot of money to throw and looking for easier application, but ultimately they are getting locked into their eco-system, just like Apple does.
